Obscure Halloween Hero #1
SCENE: A talking toilet.
CAPTION: Robbie’s toilet costume was a big, splashy success at the office Halloween party. Tragically, it was simply too realistic when he used the Men’s Room.
ROBBIE/TOILET: N-o-o-o! What are you doing? Don’t point that thing at me!!!

This is an adaption of a Comics Buyer’s Guide cartoon I did back in 2004. It appears here in color for the first time and with a new opening caption and some minor edits. Obviously, this was years before either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump were running for office and it has no direct bearing on the current election.
That Said, Here’s What I think about the Election
Even though I’m keeping partisanship out of my actual Last Kiss comics, I’m going to use this blog for the first time to endorse a candidate. Kamala Harris has my full support for president. She started her career as a prosecuting attorney, went on to become Attorney General of California and then a U.S. Senator and currently is, of course, Vice President. She has the experience, intelligence, temperament, vigor and judgement to be an outstanding President.
In the short time since she was thrown into the presidential race, she has come up with many commonsense plans that will benefit middle (and lower) class Americans.
In contrast, the twice-impeached, 34-times-convicted, 78-year-old Donald Trump has a long history of racism, sexism, multiple business bankruptcies and seems far more interested in lowering taxes for billionaires like himself than helping common Americans. To top it all off, he has actually bragged about wanting to be a dictator and says he may send the military to go after any Americans who disagree with him. To me, the choice is clear.

↓ TranscriptCAPTION: Last episode, Mildred Natsplat shocked comicdom by dissecting that old comic book adage about criminals being a “cowardly, superstitious lot!” She theorized that since most crooks are men…women must be more trustworthy!
MILDRED: Given my obvious moral and gender superiority, I have no choice…but to accept my destiny and run for president!
CAPTION: There is, however, one huge obstacle to Mildred’s candidacy!
MILDRED: I’m the best looking, best smelling and best brained candidate! But once voters find out I read comics…will they still vote for me?
CAPTION: Is America ready for a president who understands X-Men continuity?

↓ TranscriptCAPTION: "Hello, I’m Mildred Inksplat--sexy scholar of comic book wisdom! I'm here today to discuss Batman’s most famous utterance: “Criminals are a superstitious, cowardly lot!”*
MILDRED: What did Batman really mean by that? My research shows that Most criminals are... men! So obviously batman is saying......men are more likely to be cowardly, superstitious and dishonest than women! Oh, No! Does that offend you? I’m sincerely sorry! And do you know why? Because I’m a woman, you clod! I’m considerate! I care! if I was a man I'd never be this %$#@ sensitive!

“Manhood” is such an obvious reference to “penis” that I suggested to Tony Isabella that we consider some other pseudonym. Such as
Tasty Tidbits
Jiggly Wiggly
Succulent-Self
Savory-Sausage
Big Lebowski
Yes, they were all worse. So we stuck with “manhood.”
