Oh, crud. Running this gag made me realize that I’m long overdue for a visit to my own dentist’s torture chamber. (I got the reminder card a year or so ago–and promptly forgot about it.) Time for an appointment. Arrrgh
Other excuses that won’t fly:
–I don’t want to rob banks. But that’s where they keep the money.
–No one told me the gun was loaded…any of the times I shot him.
–It’s not my fault this isn’t funny. You’re just not reading it right!

I’m having a nerd weekend–and that’s a good thing. I’m spending the next three days at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle. I’ll be at the Last Kiss booth (#412) Friday through Sunday.
This comic was supposed to run as a full-page gag in Comics Buyer’s Guide #1676. It’s one of three gags that I did for CBG’s “romance comics” issue.
But then fate–cruel, wicked fate–intervened!
Sure my cover art and another gag made it into the issue. But my third gag got cut at the last minute. The official reason? No room.
But maybe there was another reason. Maybe it was part of a vast conspiracy to…[insert any random quote from Charlie Sheen here.]
So that’s why I’m running the comic here. Because if I didn’t the [insert another random quote from Sheen] would win!
