Looking at that hair and eyes, I had to go review the mythology behind Medusa.
Once a beautiful woman she was turned into the winged Gorgon monster with snakes for hair that could turn anyone to stone by looking into their eyes. She was turned when losing her virginity with Poseidon.

I must confess that my first wife could turn a part of my body to stone by looking into my eyes.
Oh, I’m very familiar with the Medusa legend. In fact I once wrote a Donald Duck story called “The Magic Mirror of Mad Medusa.”
Found something in French. Is this it?

Yes! That’s it, Dave. Thanks for the link. I didn’t know it was a cover story in one of the French editions. This is the first time I’ve seen that cover!
Who, or what, is a Teneshad? Something about the shady parts of Tennessee? Or is it a unit of measure about how many men she’s had sex with already? “As soon as she’s done with that guy that’ll be ten she’s had”.
This also reminds me of a line from “Hot Shots”:
“I’m a virgin. I’m just not very good at it.”
You have the publisher and date wrong. It’s Better/Nedor/Standard/Pines, and it’s from August 1952, not 1957. From a first glance, I’d say “Murder Mansion” is a pre-code story, not one they would have run in 1957.
Right you are, Alan. Thanks for the correction. I’ve changed the credits on this page.
I believe what happened was that I copied the credit line from a previous episode of Last Kiss and used it as a place holder when I was laying out the page. And then I put in SOME of the correct info. But forgot to put in the rest. Yikes!
