My safe word is “carbohydrates.”
Also “sugar.”
And “caffeine.”
By the way, check out the original art below by Matt Baker. Although the source material here is a weird combo of far out crime and adventure, Baker is best known as one of the finest romance comic book artists of all time.

Art by Matt Baker from the story “The…She-Wolf Killer” in WEIRD ADVENTURES #1, 1951.

I caught a typo in today’s comic just as I was loading the image onto the site. At first, the woman wanted to have an “organism” instead of an “orgasm.” (On the other hand, maybe that’s funnier.)
Sigh. It’s not the worse typo I’ve ever made—or seen.
The most interesting typo I ever saw was decades ago when I was a newspaper reporter at THE BEACON HILL NEWS. A seniors lunch entree was supposed be “fried chicken.” But it appeared in that week’s edition as “fried children.”
Bon appetit! (Did I spell that right? Oh, to hell with it!)

Art by Vince Colletta Studio from the story “The Face of Love” in FIRST KISS #19, 1961.
