As a former sailor, I have mixed feelings when art imitates life!
The revised version shows him as a Bruce Campbell lookalike.
Seems as though the original artist knew more about drawing men than women. Plus, what’s up with his thumb?
His thumb? He apparently broke it and it sure didn’t heal right. How he broke it, though…hmm. Perhaps he was hitchhiking and was overly vigorous with his thumb while flagging down rides.?!!
