   Maybe he was named after the fish? Generally the gar’s have a rather phallic elongated head. She might be in for a real treat!

   Or maybe his full name is Chester Garfield Lummox III. Nicknamed “Gar”. Neutering might be the only way to prevent a IV.

   Maybe his name is Garfield Logan aka Changeling aka Beast Boy aka (informally in the Silver Age Arnold Drake comics) Beast Brat. Of course in that case he would be green in color.

   If he actually is Garfield (Beast Brat) Logan, thinking about neutering her dog (or Beast Brat for that matter) might just come naturally.
