Me flexing what I pretend is a muscle at one of the cons a few years back.
I will not have a Last Kiss booth at Comic-Con International (in San Diego) this year. But I will be doing some signings at the Prism Comics booth (and probably at least one other booth.) I don’t have a schedule yet, but I’ll be posting it as soon as I know.

It seemed only fitting that when Diego came to visit that I wear a Last Kiss shirt with his art on it.
One of the joys of working in comics is that I get to work with some incredibly talented people. The downside is that I sometimes never get to meet them in person.
Fortunately, my good friend and frequent Last Kiss artist Diego Jourdan Pereira had a long layover in Seattle last week (on his way back from Japan to his home in Chile.) So we finally met.

Left to Right: Me, Diego and Shelagh in front of Casa Lustig
Shelagh, Diego and set a new record for nonstop talking at our house—5:30 p.m. ’til 1:30 a.m.
It was great finally meeting you, amigo!

My daughter Laura Lustig.
On June 9, 2013 I gave a talk at Seattle Children’s Hospital during an annual memorial service for parents who’ve lost a child. Because it was deeply personal, I didn’t plan to share this with anyone else. But in the nearly two years since, I’ve changed my mind.
Eventually, we all suffer losses. On the chance, this might help you deal with yours, I’m making this available. Also, it’s a way of honoring my daughter Laura (who would’ve turned 22 today) as well as some of the other dear people I’ve lost over the years. Happy Birthday, Laura.
As parents one of the first things we have to learn is patience. Patience because kids do things at their own speed. Patience because kids rarely do things when we want them to—which is immediately.
And patience because kids always expect us to do things for them when they want us to—which is immediately!
Patience—a different sort of patience—is even more important now.
I’ve been blessed to have had three children. Blessed even though two of them have died. (more…)

I would like to say that Last Kiss is definitely, positively and absolutely going to be on the most popular comedy in America this week.
But I really won’t know until the season finale of THE BIG BANG THEORY airs this Thursday, May 7.
However, I can tell you that staff from the CBS show did contact my guy in Hollywood (John Fluke of Placed 4 Success) and request that I rush three pieces of Last Kiss art to them for this episode. So, we’ll see!
