I used this art earlier this year (with a different gag) and posted the original 1960s art then. But here’s the original art again for anyone who missed it. A classic bit of medical wisdom!

↓ TranscriptSCENE: Doctor talking to woman patient.
DOCTOR: I can't find anything wrong with you! But...it’s been fun looking!

Below is the original romance art from the 1960s.
Of course, the original dialog is totally innocent—in context. But, if you want to read it as a continuation of my Last Kiss dialog…wow! Those are two horny kids!
Apparently they’ve decided that some “like sex” isn’t as much fun as the real thing.

↓ TranscriptSCENE: A man and woman are holding hands at a dance.
MAN: Gee! Dancing is like sex! It’s more fun with a partner!

Below is the original 1960s art from a story called “Heartbreaker.” Jill is the campus tease. She came to the dance with Bill. She’s leaving with Ron. Lucky Ron?

↓ TranscriptSCENE: Man and woman in fancy dress leave a night club.
WOMAN: Heavens, no! You’re not wasting money! You’re investing in sex!

In the original 1960s artwork (below) it’s quite a different story. Seventeen-year-old Gar is secretly engaged to Beth. He’s ready to get married right away. Beth wonders if they’re too young.
Gar’s sure, though. So sure that he encourages a couple of their 17-year-old pals to get married too.
Of course he’s right. I mean—waiting ’til you’re 18 to get married is so immature.

↓ TranscriptMAN (to woman): Marriage? Maybe someday…if I meet the right super model!

And here’s the original 1960s art:

↓ TranscriptSCENE: Woman talking to a man.
WOMAN: I’d never marry for money! But…how much are we talking about?
