Oh, Baby!

Oh, Baby!

Today's Last Kiss comic

This comic that mischievous Mike Pascale and I created back in 2014 is one of my favorite Valentine’s Day gags. But tomorrow we’ll have a brand new cupid comic that’s twice as outrageous!

The vintage comic art that today's Last Kiss used as a basis.

A Tasteful Valentine

A Tasteful Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day from me and my pal (& frequent collaborator) Mike Pascal.

I’m not sure why Mike and I keep coming up with zombie LK comics for V. Day. We’ve also done a fair amount of Cupid gags for the holiday. Hmm. I can see where this is going and—no, Mike, we’re not a doing zombie Cupid comic next year!

(Unless, of course it’s very, very funny—and tasteful.)

Going Postal

Going Postal

Later this week, I’ll have a new Valentine’s Day cartoon that I cooked up with my pal Mike Pascale. But for now, here’s a slightly updated Valentine’s Day comic from the Last Kiss comic book series—way back in 2002.

And here’s the original 1962 published art:

Art by Dick Giordano from the cover of Love Diary #24, Nov. 1962.

Transcript:

SCENE: Crying woman calls out to a letter carrier/postman who is holding some letters in front of a post box.

WOMAN: B-but you must have at least one Valentine for me! I’ve slept with every man in town!

POSTMAN: Well…uh, not every man!

1962 Art: Dick Giordano Color: Shane Fisher & John Lustig

Candy & Flowers for Valentine’s Day

Candy & Flowers for Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My heartfelt thanks—but no “Candy” or “Roses”—to my pal Mike Pascale who came up with today’s joke.

Mike also did a masterful job of modifying the original art. I think this is the first time Mike has ever added cleavage to any Last Kiss characters.

Normally, of course, neither of us would ever think of sullying Last Kiss with <gasp!> sex. But it made the joke funnier. So, what could we do?
