So, I’m officially launching the Last Kiss Halloween and horror gags for this year! Most will be brand new. A few—because I’m having cataract surgery this week and again later in the month—will be re-runs. So let the giggles (and groaning) begin!

We all wish you well with you r surgery. They say appreciation of colours goes up after cataract surgery. Your colour appreciation is pretty good already.
Thank you, Peter! I had the first eye done earlier today (Tuesday.) As far as I know, it went well!
I’m looking forward to even brighter colors!
John,
Are you getting the full lens replacement surgeries?
After mine, I now have 8 pairs of 2 power magnifying glasses floating around the house/cars/trucks and even my safety glasses have cheater mags in the corners. DeWalt has a nice pair of dark safety glasses with mags in the corners that work well as every day wear sunglasses.
Your going to love your new eyes!
I’m not sure what you mean by “full lens replacement.” I thought lenses were always fully replaced.
I’m getting special (and more expensive) lenses that correct for the stigmatism I have in both eyes. They won’t totally correct my stigmatism issues. I’ll still be wearing glasses–for both close up and distance.
(If I wanted to fully correct, I’d have to get the surgery and then wear glasses and hard contact lenses at the same time. I nixed this as too much trouble at 70. But I don’t mind wearing glasses. I’ve done that almost my entire life.)
My cataracts aren’t actually that bad—yet. But my ophthalmologist felt I’d be seeing significantly better with the stigmatism corrections.
