If today’s episode seems different than most Last Kiss comics it’s because this one originally appeared in Comics Buyer’s Guide way back in the 1990s. And most of my gags back then were aimed at the comic fans and pros who made up the bulk of CBG‘s readership.
I’ve added a bit of color for the new version. And I also modified the gag quite a bit. (No outdated Batman movie references now. Instead the gag mentions Underoos and Black Lightning.)
If my current readers enjoy this, I might resurrect some of my other Last Kiss comics that appeared in CBG!

The original is pretty good also, John. But I really like the way you modified it, please do more for ‘Last Kiss’.
mourdac on GoComics
Thank you, Rick/mourdac. I’ll see what I can do about updating and sharing some of my old CBG Last Kisses.
And thanks for all your comments on GoComics. It’s great to have you here as well.
She looks old enough to be his mother, or perhaps one of those “matures” so famous on the web sites set up for the visual pleasure of the “gentleman who knows what he likes”.
It’s hard to say how old either of them are, but I agree, Dave. She does look older than him!
I have no problem with seeing old Last Kisses in a new format, but what I would really love to see revived is the Comics Buyers Guide itself!
I’d love that myself, Lee. I started reading CBG when I was in my very early 20s. It was an important part of comics culture for decades. And I was thrilled to have a regular feature in it in its last decades.
Maybe she’d be more impressed if he called them “graphic novels”.
And then mentioned how much money the movies gross…
