John: I totally understand and can sympathize. My parents are both in their 70s and live in another state. Any factual information I get about their status is second hand at best because after all, my folks themselves wouldn’t want me to know the truth and start worrying. Not that anything is actually wrong at the moment, but you get the idea.
John: You have my sympathies. I lost both my folks a few years ago. Dad to diabetes and my mom to terminal lung cancer. I was able to see them before they passed but it still hurt. Be grateful for the time you had with them.
Thanks, Lee and Les. I do indeed value the time left. For those wondering what this is all about, here are the remarks that I sent to my my mailing list subscribers about my mom’s declining health: https://www.lastkisscomics.com/2011/08/05/4621/
John, I am sorry to hear about your Mom’s ill health. I am sure everyone understands that you need to take the time to be with her now. Both my parents have passed on now, but they are always missed.
