Does this mean you’re not using magazine artwork anymore?
No, I’m still using old comic art as my primary source. But using A.I. art here and there allows me to do some different gags that would be hard to do with the comic art.
And frankly, it’s fun for me to experiment with AI and see what I can do with it.
I’ve been a longtime reader and I enjoy the repurposed magazine art that you do. And I like this as well. The artwork could easily have come from a mid-60s issue of Galaxy magazine. Thanks!
Kevin, I’m so glad that you like both the re-purposed comics and the ones with new art. Thanks so much for the kudos and encouragement! And thanks even more for reading my silly humor for such a long time.
I’m with Kevin. I go to Last Kiss every day. I prefer the zaniness of the old art, but I also enjoy the AI art.
Yes, the zaniness is fun. That’s a good part of what got me into doing Last Kiss.
But I’ll admit I’m having fun using AI art too. It’s taking me places that I don’t think I’d go with traditional comic art.
I’m with the above readers. AI art gives you expanded ability to sculpt a picture, sometimes way into ridiculous (yea). As a side issue, while I love the risqué ones, this proves that there is more to you than cheesy, if hilarious, boob jokes. Carry on, sir!
Thanks, Ed! I’ll do my best!
Kind of reminds me of “Omni” magazine from the 1980’s. Anyone else remember that?
Cool artwork John!
I think I still have some old copies of Omni. It was a great magazine.
This is cool, and very interesting. I’ll have to find time to tinker with some of the AI applications. I’m not an artist or graphics guy – much – but I like to use “40s/50s” looking things on web pages. I’ll bet AI could help with designing flyers for drag races here. Hmmm.
