“George and I met later that evening…
…and we bored each other so much that we fell asleep standing up.”

…but no matter how hard I listened, I still couldn’t hear a heartbeat.”

…I couldn’t meet him earlier in the day because I was busy sleeping with his brother.”

…Fortunately, this time he was wearing pants.”

…We rendezvoused by the Rose Burial Yard: the place where old roses head for when they know it’s their time to die.”

…but then I got my earring caught in his necktie, and everything just got awkward.”

There’s just a lot about this one that seems off. Like those roses. Or the way his face resembles an Easter Island statue. And what’s that building in the background? A penitentiary? And is the moon about to run into it?
I’m almost curious enough to read this story. But those eyebrows really do scare me.
Jams, curse you! I will never be able to listen to “Werewolves of London” again without thinking “Rotarians! It should be Rotarians!”
As for the story, here’s a link to the issue with that yarn of youthful romance:

That’s quite a face/head. What a jawline. He’s got the eyelashes she wishes were hers. She has no nasal depression (philtrum). He has enough for both of them.
She does look as though she’s said ye to the “call of the void” and is having second thoughts.
M’dear, if he still has a frog tongue, you might want to keep him.
If she’s kissed that many frogs and still hasn’t found her prince, maybe…….. she just likes kissing frogs?
