There are a lot of jokes I could make involving that kid’s face, the word “swell”, and the Doctor’s earlobes. But they wouldn’t be in good taste, so I’ll just wish everyone a Happy Father’s Day.
No, of course, you wouldn’t want to say anything controversial or in bad taste! Heavens forbid!
But, yes! Happy Father’s day, my friend.

When Diego Jourdan Pereira was re-creating the panel for me, I believe I asked him to make the father conform to the look of the pipe-smoking father we had in this Bucky gag:

Bucky was developed by animation (and comic book) writer Jack Enyart and me to be the central character in an animated series call “It’s Always Bucky!” After Jack died, the project kind of lost steam and the series never got made.
I’ve re-run two or three Bucky gags in the last couple of years, but I think this is the first Bucky gag I’ve written since Jack’s death.
Hard to read the father’s expression. Is he offended, shocked, had he always dreamed of a threesome…?
