I can’t give the proper credit, because I don’t remember, so I’ll poorly paraphrase:
If you want to know which hurts more, giving birth for women or being kicked *down there* for men, ask yourself this: how many women do you know with more than once child, vs. how many men invite themselves for more kicks in the marbles?
Every time I see a guy experiencing a groinadal injury in real life, on TV (usually football) or in a move I experience some sympathy pain.
I hear you. I get uncomfortable just thinking about it.
To get semi-serious for a sec, I don’t think it’s a fair comparison, Rex. Women get something out of it–a baby. And they have strong biological reasons to want sex and/or a baby. Plus, I think studies have shown that women often block out the worst of that pain later on.
What do guys get out of getting kicked in the balls? Sore balls!
Gotta say that neither of these women look as though Labor was anything more than childbirth with an epidural.
Looks as though there isn’t much “Working Class Hero” going to be the future for either child.
Side note: While pain relief during childbirth was available in the mid 1800’s it wasn’t widely used since most births still occurred at home. The Pope said using pain relief in childbirth was OK in the mid 50’s. I actually remember the controversy about that.
Having pain meds during childbirth was controversial for Catholics?!! Ye gads. I’m not Catholic, but I’m married to one. I’m darn sure my wife wouldn’t had a thing or three to say about that.
