Ironically, she just accidentally poked out his eyes.
How did she go blind at the slopes? By the look of those bindings she should have broken her neck!
Bindings weren’t quick release in the 1950s. Broken ankles were common.
Doc: “I’m sorry, young man, her sight will return, but she will never be able to speak, again.”
Young man: “The perfect wife.”
