No snark for the original this time. But Smash Comics is amazing! Cabby the Talking Monkey! That weird cross dressing midget in a mermaid’s outfit! A justice system that allows prisoner drop off by plane! And let’s not forget Bozo the Robot! The cherry on top of this sundae would have been a Wamby! Jungle Boy! story. But alas, it was not to be.
Seriously. That issue was worth the price of admission. Thanks for the link to the original.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Jams! The publisher Quality comics put out some of the best comics of the Golden Age. I’m a big fan!
At first I thought the guy was Clark Kent, so I looked at Smash Comics #26 – seems like there was much inspiration from Superman there!
But what if it’s a girl frog or chick raccoon? Huh? HUH?! Never thought of THAT, did you?!
Also: a kid reports rifle fire and the guy’s just like “Oh, is it an odd-numbered Wednesday again? Ok, cool.”
