Dad’s face/hair has really morphed from the original.
And it’s morphed for a reason, Dave.
Besides appearing here, this art is being used as part of a proposal for an animation series loosely based on my Last Kiss humor. Unlike the one-panel gags that appear here, though, the animated series will have a regular cast of characters.
The dad in this panel was redrawn so it looks like the dad in the proposed series.
I think the original is creepier than the recreated panel. Yuk! See you at Emerald City Comicon in March!

I had that sort of fever many times when I was about 12 or 13.
