Upset? From her expression, she’s glad. She’s been trying to dump Tom (and date his brother) for days!
I recall a friend of mine dating an ecdysist. She was treated as an independent contractor by the club in which she danced. Totally unreported income – no 1099 issued – but I could not convince her that if she wanted to deduct the cost of her ‘costumes’ she had to show some income to deduct the costs against.
As I recall, I couldn’t convince her to just ignore the whole income tax thing. Some people you just can’t help.
